Geothermal is a great solution for cooling and heating a house. The initial cost out lay is much higher than a traditional system, but if the system is done properly and maintenance cost stay low - these systems generally have a payback in as short as 7 to 10 years. The present 30% tax credit exists for these systems and will help offset these first cost.
